Come in the high season of July and August and you will find Bol vibrant with life with holidaymakers from all over Europe experiencing the Mediterranean atmosphere of the town. Eat out at a different restaurant each evening and sample the friendly bars and cafes of the town. Hire a boat for a day and find yourself a deserted beach to claim as your own. Alternatively head to Zlatni Rat, the renowned spit of sandy beach that juts out into the crystal blue sea. Enjoy some water sports too, wind surfing is especially popular. For a quiet get-away-from-it holiday come in May and June or September and enjoy this typical Dalmatian fishing village with its unspoilt beaches and many cafes and restaurants. Relax in the sun and take in the relaxing atmosphere of this unique place. Take a car, a scooter or even a bike and also explore the island with its wild countryside, its many coves and its traditional old stone inland villages. Come by car to Split, take the 45 min car ferry to Supetar and drive across the island, its 38km to Bol. Alternatively come by plane and take the 30 min taxi/bus ride from the airport to the ferry, relax on the crossing then take a taxi across the island.
